Division of Plasma Physics under AAPPS (AAPPS-DPP) is established in 2014 and started its annual conference in 2017 at Chengdu successfully (450 participants).
2nd Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics (AAPPS-DPP 2018) had more  than 600 participants.
3rd Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics (AAPPS-DPP 2019) and APPC-14 were held in Hefei (China) and Kuching (Malaysia) with total DPP  participants are ~460.
AAPPS-DPP is holding 4th annual conference as e-conference in 2020 because of  COVID-19.  I welcome all of you to this new space to enjoy scientific discussions in all area of plasma physics.

AAPPS-DPP 2020, the fourth Conference of the Division of Plasma Physics of the
Association of Asia Pacific Physical Societies, will be held as an e-conference October 26-30, 2020. AAPPS-DPP brings together plasma scientists, engineers, and students from around the globe to share ideas and exchange information on the cutting edge of plasma science and technology.
AAPPS-DPP 2020 is hosted by the National Fusion Research Institute (NFRI).
We are currently living in the era of COVID-19, in which everything is unfamiliar, and we have all had to adapt to this strange time. In mid-April the conference organizers decided to change this year’s conference to be held online. The Scientific Program Committee (SPC) has been very busy scheduling the program to accommodate this new reality. In particular, the SPC had to consider time zones while creating a schedule that will be acceptable for participants throughout the world.
Meeting online will be a different experience, and we will miss the in-person experience of reconnecting with old friends and colleagues, meeting new ones, interacting directly with industrial vendors. But we hope that conference attendees will find some benefits to attending the conference from the comfort of their homes and in offices. As always, the conference will hold many simultaneous sessions, but this year the presentations will be recorded and can be revisited at any time convenient to the viewer. Despite the changes we are confident that the conference will continue to be a vibrant environment for the exchange of ideas.
We are looking forward to this new experience of an online AAPPS-DPP.
