Prof. M. Sasao chaired APPC-12 program committee and program committee members from plasma science are Prof. S.I. Itoh, Prof. M. Shiratani, Prof. R. Matsumoto, Prof. H. Takabe and Dr./Prof. M. Kikuchi. In addition to the APPC-12 program committee, we have formed APPC-12 Plasma Physics Topical Program Committee and Plasma Processing Topical Program Committee.

The PP-TPCs nominated plenary speakers with some recommendations from Asian representatives including chairs of these DPP and Korea DPP. Among many distinguished nominations, we finally nominated Prof. Liu Chen, Prof. K. Shibata, and Prof. P.K. Chu for APPC-12 and Prof. T. Tajima for ASEPS, which are accepted at APPC-12 program committee and also ASEPS committee.
We have two oral parallel sessions with 196 and 172 seats during the whole conference. PP-TPCs selected 41 distinguished invited speakers all over the world before the general call for paper. Outstanding 46 papers are selected as oral presentation among submitted papers. We have large number of excellent poster presentations every morning session (Monday 57 posters, Tuesday 54 posters, Wednesday 53 posters, Thursday 51 posters).

In the last oral sessions, we have four summary speakers for D1, D2, D3, and D4 to summarize paper presented in this conference, which are actually very hard tasks for the speakers and they gave outstanding talks.
Total number of presentations in the plasma science program is 306, which is approximately 1/4 of the total papers in the APPC-12 conference.
