This award has been established by AAPPS-DPP from 2016 for APPC-13.
A young researcher who is less than 40 years old can be nominated (i.e., self-nominated or nominated by others)
for this prize based on his/her significant contribution in the study of plasma-related science and engineering.
Nomination should include
1) name,
2) candidate paper ( whole paper in pdf),
3) list of related papers,
4) Rationale for significance / impact of the paper (and related work),
5) proposed citation.
For APPC-13, S. Chandrasekhar Laureates selected their choices up to 2.
For AAPPS-DPP 2017, Each PC (Fundamental, Basic, Applied, Laser, Space,
Solar/Astro, Magnetic Fusion) nominate 0-1 candidates and Award
Selection Committee chaired by 2017 S. Chandrasekhar Laureates decide
winners.
