Asia-Pacific Region is growing very rapidly in science and technology and the cooperation of physics program in this area is an important step.
AAPPS-DPP is established in 2014 and 2017  becomes an important year for AAPPS-DPP by having first annual conference similar to APS-DPP and EPS-DPP.
I hope 1st Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics is a good start of our community in Asia-Pacific region.

On behalf of the IOC, I sincerely welcome all participants to this 1st Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics. As this is the 1st Conference among the Asia-Pacific plasma physicists, I am sure that not only we will have an exciting scientific program but , more significantly, many opportunities for further understandings and collaborations among us individual scientists as well as institutions.
On the other hand, there will also definitely be areas for further improvements and changes. So please share with us your critical insights and suggestions.
Enjoy the Conference and this culturally rich city of Chengdu.
